TB-82 GENERAL CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF 1090 SIERRA™ SERIES TOILET PARTITIONS
Last Updated: 01/21/2008
FOR ROUTINE CLEANING: Use a soft cloth moistened with mild soap, detergent, or all purpose cleaner to wipe partition surface. Wipe off cleaner residue off using a clean cloth and water. Ensure that partitions in shower (or hose-down) areas receive adequate ventilation to allow excess humidity to escape.

A periodic application of a self-cleaning wax will make future graffiti cleaning easier. These products are gentle and generally do not require stripping.

NOTE: Do not clean partitions using harsh cleaners containing abrasives, acids, or alkalis, as they may etch, discolor,
or otherwise damage the surface. These include:
· Abrasive powder cleaners
· Toilet bowl cleaners
· Rust removers
· Ceramic tile cleaners

FOR GRAFFITI: Use a high-quality, concentrated D-limonene based solvent (such as Bobrick Graffiti Remover #891099) applied with a soft cloth to remove graffiti stains from sources such as: permanent markers, acrylic or enamel spray paints, markers containing Xylene, metallic markers, laundry pens, paint pens, etc. For especially tough stains, apply cleaner using nylon scrub pad.

CAUTION: Many solvents are extremely flammable. Keep away from flame and electrical sparks.

FOR SCRATCHES: While Solid Color Reinforced Composite is impervious to normal wear and tear, the material can be vandalized by scratching with sharp objects. The solid color material can be repaired by sanding through scratches or by filling in scratches with a matching color crayon (see TB-81 for details).

FOR BURN MARKS OR GOUGES: Use electric sander equipped with coarse 80-grit sandpaper to sand through affected area. Re-sand area using medium 180-grit sandpaper. To blend color into surrounding areas, wet-sand area using fine 2000-grit wet/dry sandpaper.
